La Roux is an up-and-coming English electropop/synthpop band from Britain, located in Inner-South London, England. Consisting of front-person Elly Jackson (vocals, co-writers, co-producer) and Ben Langmaid (synth player, co-writer, co-producer). La Roux released their first full length, self-titled CD in June of 2009, with singles released steadily since late 2008. To date, La Roux's music has been featured on television shows, such as ABC's Ugly Betty, toured Europe and North America, and recently been nominated for British Breakthrough Act in 2010's annual Brit Awards.

Similar artists include Little Boots, Ladyhawk, and Lady Gaga.
